“In 2017, over 90,000 Pennsylvanian grandparents are responsible for the basic needs of one or more grandchildren under the age of 18. These grandparents are caring for approximately 195,000 children, which is 7.5 percent of all children in our state.” (Pennsylvania Grandparents Raising Grandchildren by State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski)

How are “grandparents raising grandchildren” navigating today’s technical age considering the dependence on computers, cell phones, and social media?  And – in light of COVID and the need for education choice with the population at large, are the grandparents being adequately advised and supported?

Cindy Phillips Hall, of Laureldale PA,  is a loving, brave, and dedicated grandparent with a story of her own.  PaFEC applauds Cindy for coming forward to share the amazing and transformative story of her granddaughter’s educational journey.
